Getting a Google Calendar Shared URL

DigiBoard supports the common iCal standard to show upcoming events. This can be exported via Apple’s Calendar application, Google Calendar and many others.

Getting the calendar’s shared url requires you access your google calendar from the desktop.

  1. On your desktop computer, go to calendar.google.com

  2. Click on Settings

  3. On the left side of the screen, select the calendar you want to share under Settings for my calendars

  4. Under the Access permissions for events section, enable the Make available to public option.

  5. Scroll down and select the url under the Public address in iCal format.

  6. If your computer and iPhone/iPad have pasteboard copying enabled, just copy the url on your desktop and paste it into the url field in DigiBoard. If not, you can send that url to yourself via email or using the Notes app and then select/copy the url on your iPhone/iPad and paste into DigiBoard.

Settings

Select the settings for my calendars option on the left side of the screen.

Turn on public access for your calendar. Note, this will make your calendar visible to the public, even google search.
