For slideshows, tap on the “Slide Content” section of your presentation to see content options.

Dropbox

Dropbox has free accounts with 2 GB of storage. For Dropbox, pick from one of the listed folders that contain images/videos (if it is your first time, you will be presented with a Dropbox sign in screen).

DigiBoard has its own special area in Dropbox where you can put content you want to use. Once you have signed into Dropbox from the DigiBoard Remote app, a new folder will appear inside the root Dropbox folder at /Apps/DigiBoard TV/. Create folders within the DigiBoard TV folder with photos and videos and they will show up when you select Dropbox as a content source.

Photos Library

For the Photos Library, pick an album from one of the listed albums from your iCloud Photos library. (if it is your first time selecting photos you may be asked to grant DigiBoard Remote access to your photo library. Select the option to always grant access).

The first time you select a photos album for a presentation running on an Apple TV, the Apple TV will generate a dialog asking if you want to grant the DigiBoard TV app permission to access your photos. You will also get an alert on your phone if a TV is in this state. You need to use the Apple TV remote and grant DigiBoard TV access. If this is the first time you have accessed your Photos library on your Apple TV, it might take some time for the Photos app to sync your library contents.

Weather

If you have chosen a template with a weather forecast widget, you can set the location of the forecast by selecting the “Weather Content” option. Either type in a U.S. city you wish to use as the center of the forecast or tap the “Use Current Location” to use the gps coordinates of your phone’s current location. (Do this if you are near the TV at the time so the location represents the TV!). Weather is supported in the U.S. but coming soon world wide.

Social Media (Twitter)

If you have chosen a template with a Social Media widget, you can set the account by tapping on the Twitter Feed(s) item in the list. The @NPR account is selected by default.

In the Social Media view, either swipe an item to delete it or tap the “Add Feed” button at the bottom.

Enter a twitter account (e.g. @NPR) or a hashtag (e.g. #Covid-19) you wish to follow, or a search term. You can add more than one feed and DigiBoard TV will interleave their newest results from the last 7 days.
