Scheduling Presentations

All presentations have a schedule that determines when they are active for TVs that have them enabled. Each TV has its own private Fallback Presentation that is always scheduled. By default, the Fallback Presentation won’t show its content. This can be changed by changing the “Overlapping Content” value.

When

Tapping on the “When” item will bring up the schedule screen. You have the option of scheduling a presentation to run repeatedly between a start and end time on various days or to schedule a presentation to run once on a particular day and time. Changing the schedule for a shared presentation changes it for all TVs it runs on. You can duplicate a presentation if you need to run it at different times.

For a repeating schedule, select the days you wish to have the presentation run and then select a start and end time.

For presentations you want to run once (say during a particular event), choose the calendar button and tap on the Starts and Ends items to set the day and time the presentation is active.

Overlapping Content

Presentations can have their schedules overlap. When two or more presentations are scheduled to run at the same time, DigiBoard TV will switch between all currently active presentations. The duration each presentation will be active is based on the presentation content and the “Overlapping Content” setting. The presentation will show a number of its items in a row based on this value whether it be images/videos or news stories. This is how you can set a weighting of the content that is shown. Fallback Presentations have a default “Overlapping Content” value of 0 meaning it won’t show any of its items when overlapping with Shared Presentations.
